These are some fantastic Sunday Brunches! But call ahead to make reservations. They do get full and Busy! But then, that’s why they are a 5-Star Restaurant!! And we were lucky enough to receive and try some of their latest releases! Well worth joining their Wine Club. They do make an awesome Reserve Merlot, pictured here. And the Pinot Gris passes the test and goes well with asparagus!
Awesome wines and superbly awesome food. Here are some photos of what Robin and I indulged in. To bad there were no “left overs”. We had to get our daughter Marnie her own Wine Lovers Chocolate Cake. We had ours with vanilla ice cream. Here are the photos! Enjoy and Left-Click any of the photos to see enlarged. Cheers!
It was great to get back to Parma Ridge Winery and Bistro. It’s been a while. And this time, we sat at a large table and others, who we did not know, joined us. What fun meeting some new folks. And Chef Storm still does a great job in the kitchen, as does his crew. Thanks for a great brunch! We also had some un-labeled wine, 2015 Parma Ridge Carmenere and a 2016 Parma Ridge Chardonnay – unoaked! I am not a Carmenere fan, but this was superb and will go good in any cellar. Very fruity and smooth. Went very well with the chowder and thee Brunch Burger. The 2016 Chardonnay has also a superb wine. Unoaked helped! How good were these wines? We bought some of each. Look at their site: Parma Ridge Winery and Bistro Here’s what we had for our brunch. See you there sometime? Hope so. And keep this in mind – All entrees and sides are made fresh and on site! A good, adventuresome wine dinner at The Buzz celebrating Oktoberfest. Roulade. Beer. Wine. Carmel Beer Ice Cream. And the ice cream that Cristi made was rich and smooth and delicious!! Keep it on the menu, Cristi!!! We took a culinary tour, as well as a wine tour and beer tour, through some of Germany. For instance, “…Schnitzel can be made with different types of meat. Jäger-Schnitzel – with mushroom sauce; Zigeuner-Schnitzel is a sauce of red peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomato paste, red wine and chicken broth; Cordon Bleu came from Switzerland and is a schnitzel stuffed with ham and cheese.” These are just a few of the culinary discussions we had.
And yes it was a great time! Thank you Robin, Gail and Bob Parker and Marnie and Mac for this delightful dinner party. Look at what we had plus some wonderful Blood Orange Mimosas. Yum! Thanks, too, to Chef Storm and Stephanie Hodge, Chef and Owners of Parma Ridge Winery and Bistro, and their Staff for making this visit such a joy! And now it is the season to be sure to call for reservations because it gets very full and busy. There is a link in the sidebar. And if the weather is nice, plan to sit on the patio. Cheers and Thank-You everyone!

And before dinner we had a selection of sliders and truffle fries. Oh how good was that?
Oh yes. And some great mimosas, too! Stephanie makes and awesome mimosa. And while you are sipping your mimosa, check out Stephanie’s artwork on the walls! Yup! She did them all. Such talent.
The Buzz Wine Dinner definitely had that Caribbean flare to it. Fun tacos. A super good Coconut Seafood Soup and pretty good Jerk Chicken – it’s all in the jerk sauce. If you are on a diet and counting your carbs, there was a total of 82.5g carbs tonight. My target is 60-64g of carbs per day. Oops! The best dish for the night, in my opinion, was the Coconut Seafood Soup, which also came in at 25.5g of carbs. It was soooooo good! Cristi and Tommy just got back from a Caribbean cruise, so the night was rushed. Thanks Peggy, for helping out again! Left-Click any of these photos to see them enlarged.
